Contemplating a return flight to and from Frankfurt Eglesbach. I am sure this has been done to death all ready, however does anyone here have recent experience. Eldest son has a two year placement in the city and is keen to explore Germany by air over a long weekend.

My first solo to France some years ago was filled with trepidation. Transit on wards from Le Touquet to Bordeaux was as simple as one could wish for, in fact a sight easier flying in France then UK airspace.

I put a test route into SD at the weekend, airspace across the Benelux area looks horridly complicated. But so did France, does air traffic pass you on to the next like France advising of restricted airspace, heights to fly at etc?

Any pointers/advice gratefully received
